As a funeral director, you deal with a lot of paperwork throughout your day. We designed the case files in Gather to help you maintain and preserve these important files so that they are accessible at any time, from any device, for each team member.
š Security First
All case files are securely stored and encrypted, which is just a fancy word meaning nobody else can access the file without your permission.
Pro Tip: Family members will NOT be able to access the files you upload here.
Case Files
From the top-right of each case page, you can quickly access your āCase Filesā section which will automatically contain all files you have uploaded while using Gather, including files uploaded during your chain of custody tracking via KeepTrackā¢. We will even keep track of who uploaded each file and the exact date and time it was uploaded.
Here are some great things you can do from this screen:
View the file directly in Gather without having to download the file to your device, helping to keep your device storage unused and secure.
If you do want to download the file, you are able to do so from this section as well.
We will automatically use the existing name of the file, but you can also rename the file to whatever you want.
If you need to delete the file you can also do so here.
Upload from Any Device
If you are using Gather on your phone, you can quickly snap a photo of the document right on your phone and it will automatically get added to your case files. If you add a document by snapping a photo on your phone, the photo will NOT be saved to your camera roll, helping to secure important documents and images.
Upload During Tracking
One of the easiest ways to upload important case files is to build it right into the flow of completing a Step via KeepTrackā¢. For example, you can add a Component within the Embalming Step to request that certain files are uploaded before completing the Embalming.
Pro Tip: You can even make the file upload required so that the Step canāt be finalized until the file has been successfully uploaded.
