Learn how you can create and apply custom Labels to organize your cases across multiple dimensions.

Each case you work on has a number of different characteristics that make it unique. Custom Labels in Gather help your team quickly identify and communicate these characteristics so that everyone is on the same page and nothing gets missed.


What are Labels? šŸ·ļø

Labels are a helpful way to categorize cases across multiple dimensions. In just a few clicks, you can easily apply one or more labels to a case.


How do I add Labels to a case?

Labels can be quickly added to or removed from any case by clicking this button anywhere that it appears in Gather:

Labels appear in multiple places throughout the Gather platform and can be edited from anywhere.

On the case card on your DashBoard


On the case card on your WhiteBoard


At the top of the Organize page


At the top of the Tracking Page


Can Labels be customized?

You can create as many different labels as you'd like. By default, there are 38 labels across 10 different categories. You can delete or edit any of the default labels.

Each label has a name and a color that can be customized:

āœļø EDITING: Any changes made to the label name or label color will affect all cases that currently use the label.

āŒ DELETING: Once deleted, the label will no longer be available to apply to new cases. Any existing cases currently using the deleted label will continue to have the label applied so that an accurate historical record is maintained.

If you want to remove the label from all previous cases, you will need to remove it individually from each case.


How do I group labels together?

The grouping of labels is determined by the color of the label. Each label's color uses a six-digit number called a hex code. This can be seen by opening the color selector and switching the bottom button to the "HEX" section as shown below:

All colors with the same hex code will be grouped together in the Label selector.


Can I filter by Labels?

From your WhiteBoard, you can quickly see how many decedents in your care have each Label applied. This allows you to quickly filter your WhiteBoard to isolate specific cases:

The in-app KeepTrackā„¢ Report also allows you to filter all chain of custody activity by various dimensions including by Labels.

NOTE: The WhiteBoard and KeepTrackā„¢ Report are features that are only available via Gather's KeepTrackā„¢ QR Body Tracking solution.


Can I build custom reports using labels? šŸ“ˆ

Yes, Gather's Case Management solution gives you access to custom reports, which can include reporting on Labels.

You can also navigate to the "Case Report" and filter your view to show any combination of labels that you would like to see:
