How to Send Task Reminders to Assignees in Gather

This article shows you how to send a task reminder to someone (either a helper or team member) that is active in Gather.

Now that you've invited Helpers into Gather and started assigning specific tasks for them to complete, you can send task reminders as a friendlier touchpoint with the families that you collaborate with. There are a few different ways that your staff can manage task reminders in Gather.

Important Note: Gather task reminders are currently sent in the form of an email notification only. If a particular helper profile only has a phone number but no email address that is recorded, then that particular helper will not receive a task reminder notification.

Navigate To a Case's Organize Page

First, find the case with the particular helper or team member to whom you're looking to send a task reminder. Once you've found the case from your dashboard, select the case card to navigate to the case's 'Organize' page.


Send a Task Reminder to a Specific Assignee

Although a single task can be assigned to multiple individuals in Gather, let's say that you want to send the reminder to a specific assignee. Here's how to do this from a case's 'Organize' page:

  1. At the top of the 'Organize' page, select the assignee's profile circle.

  2. Scroll down the list of assigned tasks to find the desired task.

  3. Click the 'Remind' icon that can be found to the right of the task.

  4. Select 'Send Reminder'.


Send a Task Reminder to All Assignees

If you'd prefer to send a friendly task reminder to all helpers or team members who are assigned to a specific task, you can also do that directly in Gather from a case's 'Organize' page:

  1. From the case's 'Organize' page, navigate to the desired task.

  2. Click 'Assigned to people' to verify all task assignees.

  3. Select the three-dot menu to the right of the task itself.

  4. Click 'Send a Reminder', and select 'Send Reminder'.


How The Task Reminder Appears to Assignees

If you're curious to know what the automated task reminder looks like to assignees who receive the notification, the task reminder will be emailed to each assignee from support@gatherapp.email, and include a button for the assignee to view the task in Gather. A few other important details are displayed in each task reminder, including any specific task notes and the task due date.
