Because it is so important to only show families what you want them to see AND what they themselves want to see, we’ve created a unique double opt-in system that keeps everyone safe and secure. Let’s show you how the two sides of this simple equation work!

FIRST, when completing each Step, you will notice an option at the bottom that allows you to specify whether or not you want that Step visible to families:

SECOND, when inviting each family Helper, you get two security options:

So, you have the power to make two distinct choices. The FIRST is whether you want a particular Step visible, and the SECOND is whether you want a particular Helper to see any of the Steps you decided to make visible in Step 1.

For example, for Johnny to see that Fingerprints were obtained: You must first specify that the Fingerprints Step is visible, and second, you must specify that Johnny can see visible steps.

But… what if Johnny doesn’t want to see the Steps you made visible for him? No worries, we’ve got you covered.

Even if you decide to make Steps visible to family Helpers, they still have the option to not view it. This gives them the control to only see what they want to see. Here is what that looks like.

So, continuing with the example of Johnny: if he gets to this point and decides he doesn’t want to view the Steps you made visible for him, he does not have to opt in. He will simply see that Evelyn was brought into your care and that she was assigned to a particular funeral director.

If Johnny decides to view the care details and has permission to view the belongings, this is what he will see…
