Our hearts are with you during this difficult time - thank you for allowing our team to serve you. This guide teaches you how to plant a memorial tree (or a grove of memorial trees) in honor of your loved one, directly from their Remember Page:
Navigate to your loved one's Remember Page
Scroll down and click on 'Plant Trees'
Select your desired forest project
Specify how many trees you would like to plant
Customize your gift and enter your payment info
Download your Certificate of Tree Planting
Helpful Tip: Your loved one's Remember Page lives forever - you can add as many photos and memories as you'd like. We recommend that you also bookmark your loved one's Remember Page so you can always come back to it.
1️⃣ Navigate to Your Loved One's Remember Page
Your funeral home created a unique Remember Page to help honor your loved one. If you don't have a link to your loved one's Remember Page yet, we recommend that you contact the funeral home or crematory that you're working with to retrieve the link.
For any other friends and family who would like to make contributions, a login will need to be created in order to interact with your loved one's Remember Page.
2️⃣ Scroll Down and Click on 'Plant Trees'
There are two different ways that you (and other family members and friends) can get started with planting a memorial tree for your loved one:
Option A: From the obituary section
Option B: Directly below the memorial video section
Option C: From the flower store
Option A: From The Obituary Section
After navigating to your loved one's Remember Page, scroll down until you see the memories section. Then, click on the 'Obituary' tab at the top of the section. Scroll down and click on the 'Plant a Tree' button. This will take you to the next step.
Option B: Directly Below The Memorial Video Section
After navigating to your loved one's Remember Page, scroll down until you see the unique memorial video that was selected for your loved one. Scroll a bit lower, and click on the card that reads 'Plant Trees'.
Option C: From The Flower Store
After navigating to your loved one's Remember Page, scroll down until you see the unique memorial video that was selected for your loved one. Scroll a bit lower, and you'll see a card that reads 'Send Flowers'. This is the flower store. If you click into the flower store, you'll still have the option to plant memorial trees from there as well.
3️⃣ Select Your Desired Forest Project
Through our partnership with Arbor Day Foundation, some projects that have been available before are:

From this area, you're encouraged to read through the project options and select the option that will help your loved one's legacy live on forever. Once you've made a decision, click on 'Support This Project'.

4️⃣ Specify How Many Trees You'd Like to Plant
Decide how many trees you'd like to collectively plant to honor your loved one. We offer the following options:
Single Trees: $39
Grove of 3: $89 ($30/tree)
Grove of 5: $149 ($30/tree)
Grove of 10: $249 ($25/tree)
Grove of 25: $399 ($16/tree)
Grove of 50: $499 ($10/tree)

5️⃣ Customize Your Gift and Enter Payment Info
After making your selection, you have the option to customize your gift, add a card message, and choose whether or not you'd like to share your message with all family and friends as well.
Helpful Tip: If you turn the 'Share message with family & friends' toggle on, a new memory card will be added to your loved one's Remember Page that displays your tree contribution.
Once you finish customizations, proceed with entering your payer information, then click on 'Enter Card Details'. From here, you simply enter your card information and select 'Pay' to complete the process of planting trees in honor of your loved one.
6️⃣ Download Your Certificate of Tree Planting
After you complete your contribution, you'll receive a confirmation email from planttrees@arborday.org with a PDF copy of your Certificate of Tree Planting as a keepsake. Your certificate includes:
Who the trees are planted in memory of
How many trees were planted
Your name as the contributor
