When taking an ID photo in app you should see both the option to take a photo with the camera or upload a photo.

If you do not see the option to take a photo with your camera it is likely a configuration with your browser or device settings; we see this most often with Android phones.

If you are having this issue please try these troubleshooting steps!

First we will check your browser settings to ensure the browser has permission to access the camera:

Google Chrome:

  1. Open Chrome on the Android device.

  2. Tap on the three dots (menu) in the top-right corner.

  3. Go to "Settings."

  4. Scroll down and select "Site settings."

  5. Tap on "Camera."

  6. Ensure that camera access is allowed for your web app’s domain.

Firefox:

  1. Open Firefox on the Android device.

  2. Tap on the three dots (menu) in the top-right corner.

  3. Go to "Settings."

  4. Scroll down and select "Site permissions."

  5. Tap on "Camera."

  6. Ensure that camera access is allowed for your web app’s domain.

If you try this and the issue persists, there may be a configuration in your Android System Settings that is preventing the browser from accessing the camera:

  1. Open the "Settings" app on the Android device.

  2. Go to "Apps & notifications" or "Applications" (depending on the device).

  3. Find and select the browser app (e.g., Chrome, Firefox).

  4. Tap on "Permissions."

  5. Ensure that the "Camera" permission is enabled.

If the issue persists please feel free to contact us using the support chat and we will happily help you troubleshoot your device more!
